Hi, I’m Wanda. I have been a forest guide in Bukit Lawang since 1991.

I was born near the town of Bohorok where my parents still live today. I learned a lot about the forest from my nature trips and from my father and grandfather-in-law, who both worked as guides for Regina Frey and Monica Borner in the 1970s.

I am very interested in forests and have a special interest in termites and their role in the ecosystem!

I also have a homestay consisting of three rooms that you can rent if you book jungle trekking tours and activities with me.
